Our lives revolve around our pets, and yours.
Your dog will be welcomed into our home and treated like our own. Our dogs get at least two walks a day on our own land, for the most part off lead, and once everyone has got to know each other then yours can be too. Our land is all fenced and seperated into paddocks, with the woodland seperate. The majority of the perimeter fencing is 6ft (we have a Saluki).
Regular updates of your dog's stay are sent via WhatsApp, so you can keep in touch during their holiday.
David likes to have control of his dogs, whereas Heidi prefers to have free spirits, so whatever you or your dog's preference is, we can cater for it!
David has been working with dogs since the 1980's. During this time he has owned and run kennels, trained and competed with his beloved Dobermann in show and sport, he was also a responsible breeder for most of those years. David is a Kennel Club show judge and judged Dobermann at Crufts in 2017, he has also been a registered instructor for their Good Citizen Dog Scheme and runs his own dog training business, training without conflict.
Heidi loves all animals but has a particular affinity with dogs and horses. She became head of rehoming at Chancepixies in 2005 and successfully rehomed over 1,000 dogs and reunited over 800 with their owners. She helps David with the dog training and is the main care giver to the animals here. She also holds a certificate in Dog First Aid.
We founded Chancepixies Animal Welfare in 2007.
We share our home with Oliver (Saluki), Flower (Westie) and Aimee (Dobermann). We also have two Dales ponies, 22 Soay sheep and a Brian.
Oh, and two children; a 16 year old son called Jay, and a 15 year old daughter called Pearl-Marie.
